TiE Ohio presents the International Entrepreneur Awards

Monte_AhujaRecognizing international entrepreneurs and businesses helping to reshape and rebuild Ohio's business landscape. Award winners will be announced and recognized on September 21, 2010 at the award ceremony featuring keynote speaker Monte Ahuja, Chairman & CEO of MURA Holdings LLC.

Mr. Ahuja embodies the entrepreneurial spirit and the drive to build an enterprise from nothing more than a simple dream. He launched a distribution company immediately following his graduation from CSU. Through internal growth and careful strategic planning, he grew Transtar Industries into an international business, as the leading U.S. company in the distribution of automotive transmission replacement parts to the aftermarket. He is deeply involved in the community, serves on several boards, and is the current chairman of University Hospital System.
In addition to this year's finalists, Alan Schonberg, Co-Founder and Chairman Emeritus of Management Recruiters International, and Maria Pujana, M.D. will be presented a special, TiE Community Catalyst Award for their efforts to make the region more globally connected. 

Congratulations to Ellis Yan, Marlin Younker, Philips Healthcare, and Keithley Instruments who won the International Entrepreneurship Award in their respective categories. Read the press release.
